The Cocoa Beach area is one of the best spots in the world for Fly Fishing redfish and gator sea trout. Cocoa Beach has some of the most beautiful shallow water found without leaving the country. Our Flats have been the home to many of our state record redfish and many sea trout contenders up to 16 lbs. We also have numerous schools of Jacks, tarpon, snook and ladyfish. There is almost always something around willing to make a drag scream.

You don't have to take my word for it though. ESPN, The Outdoor Life Network and many others have used our flats for many of the shows you see on TV. So, stop dreaming about Fly fishing the flats and watching us do it on from your couch and let's go catch some memories.

I am a Full Time guide that specializes in Light Tackle Sight Fishing in the Cocoa Beach area. I ways born on Cocoa Beach and with the exception of a few years in the service this area has always been my home. I currently fish these waters over 300 days a year and have over 30 years experience fishing Cocoa Beach.    

If you have never sight fished the flats before, don't worry. I cater to all experience levels, from beginner to expert. My job is to help you catch fish. When you fish with me expect to be provided with everything I expect when I hire a guide. 

You can always count on

• A fresh spool of line On all spinning reels.

• Having top quality equipment put in your hands. I currently use 2003 Shimano spinning reels, Ross fly reels and All G-Loomis rods. 

• Quality lures and tackle. 

• A spacious smooth riding boat.

• Plenty of clean deck to cast from (there is nothing on my deck for you to get your line caught up in, i.e. trolling motor) 

• And most of all, a full time guide that wants to see YOU catch fish.

Most of the redfish we have caught over the past 5 years have averaged 35 inches with a few up to 55 inches. When the conditions are right, you can spot these fish feeding on the flats 200 yards away. With the fish in your site, we sneak up on them, you take your cast and start stripping you line. The water explodes and your line flies off the deck. Now the real battle begins. After fighting a big red, you can count on going home with a sore arm.

Another fun fish to catch in the Indian and Banana Rivers is the spotted sea trout. It is common to catch them between 12 to 27 inches with an occasional gator (30+ inches). There are few things more exciting than hooking into a big sea trout on a top water fly.

During the winter one of the most requested charters I run is for ladyfish. We refer to these fish as poor mans tarpon. That are a smaller cousin to the tarpon and love to spend a lot of time in the are. These fish are a favorite of first time and experienced fly fisherman. They will test your skills and get you ready for their larger cousins.

I am a full time U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain with over 30 years experience fishing the Indian and Banana Rivers from Titusville to Cocoa Beach for redfish, trout, snook and tarpon. I currently fish from a 2005 18 foot Famous Craft.  It is one of the most comfortable and driest flats boats on the market.
